Your school years are slowly coming to an end and you are thinking about how you want to shape your future. "Which profession is the right one for me?" You are not alone with this question. At Herding we have many exciting apprenticeships. Take a look and see if you can find the right job description for you. Industrial clerks (m/f/d)

Our trainees at Herding in Amberg get an insight into many departments and tasks. In purchasing, you compare offers and negotiate them with suppliers. In Controlling, you work out calculations. In addition, you will also work in the areas of accounting and finance. Here you process, book and control the business transactions. In the marketing department you will gain insight into the external presentation of our company and in the human resources department you will see how payroll is prepared. You can also actively help out in production.

Technical product designer (m/f/d)

Our technical product designer trainees are deployed in the Research & Development or Order Processing & Engineering departments. Here, components, assemblies and complete systems are designed. As a member of one of our project teams in Amberg, you will produce detailed models on CAD systems. Of course, you also have to observe the relevant regulations. You independently select materials that meet the requirements and consider standard and purchased parts. You make sure that developments are economically efficient.

You also create drawings, assembly plans and parts lists for production. You maintain product documentation, manage the different development versions and secure the data.

Mechatronics technician (m/f/d)

The word "mechatronics" is made up of mechanics and electrical engineering. During your training as a mechatronics technician, you will learn many technical systems such as mechanics, electrics, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, measurement technology, programming of controls and much more. The assembly of filter systems, their commissioning, repair and maintenance are also part of the job.

With this knowledge, you are optimally prepared for the digitalisation of the future. You can also contribute your knowledge creatively in a joint training project with all training occupations. Various visits to trade fairs and excursions are part of the training.

Construction mechanic (m/f/d)

Our apprentices at Herding in Amberg manufacture the housings for our filter systems in the steel construction department. In the basic metalworking course, you learn how to drill, file and grind drills correctly. You use thermal cutting processes such as flame and plasma cutting to separate sheet metal and cut it to millimetre precision. You drill holes, join components together, align them and join them by welding, screwing or riveting.

Various welding processes such as TIG, MAG, electrode and gas fusion welding are part of your daily work. You are also allowed to take a look at the other production departments in order to understand the entire production process.

Herding Konstruktionsmechanikerin

Warehouse logistics specialist (m/f/d)

As a warehouse logistics specialist at Herding in Amberg, you will receive goods and check their quantity and quality on the basis of the accompanying documents. You organise the unloading of the goods, sort them and plan their proper storage. In the outgoing goods department, you assemble deliveries according to the shipping documents. You pack the goods and prepare the accompanying documents such as delivery notes and packing slips. You also load lorries, operate forklifts and secure the freight against shifting. Furthermore, you optimise the internal flow of information and materials from procurement to sales. In addition to picking parts lists for the corresponding production and service orders, you also operate computers, warehouse software and hand scanners. Additionally you provide support for warehouse and process workflows.

The application procedure

As soon as your application is received, someone from our HR department will contact you and we will get to know each other briefly over the phone. Once this has been done, we will make an appointment together for an interview with the trainer.

Job offer after training

After completing their training in Amberg, all trainees are given the opportunity to stay with us for at least 6 months. Most of them stay with the Herding team permanently.
